Grand Paris

Grand Paris

Paris is the capital and largest city of France. It is situated on the river Seine, in northern France, at the heart of the Île-de-France region.
The name Paris derives from its earliest inhabitants, the Gaulish tribe known as the Parisii. The city was called Lutetia Parisiorum during the Roman era of the 1st to the 6th century, but during the reign of Julian the Apostate (360-363), the city was renamed Paris. The Eiffel Tower is an iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris, named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. Erected in 1889 as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair, it has become both a global
cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world.
